The Academy of Arts launched their first audio drama last year and they are getting ready to release another one. The second installment in their Professor Phineas T. Boggs and His Incredible GOBAC Time Machine series is coming out on October 21st, 2021.

Summary:

When Professor Phineas T. Boggs’ new assistant, Chester, accidentally sends him to the future, a journey of a lifetime begins! Chester, Tina, and the rest of the gang all must work together to rescue Professor Boggs, but this time, Laura Sharp, the editor of a popular science magazine sticks her nose in, and what ensues is a mind blowing adventure that sends them hurtling through time and space. As they spiral through the times of Samuel and the days of Nebuchadnezzar, each one learns that obeying God’s voice and standing up for what is true is a task for all ages! Old and young alike! The Academy of Arts is proud to present our newest adventure, Professor Phineas T. Boggs and his Incredible GOBAC Time Machine: Lost In Space!

This Christian-based 2-disc audio drama explores important truths like obedience to God’s calling, trusting God through difficult situations, and standing up for truth through the biblical stories of Samuel and King Nebuchadnezzar.

The Academy of Arts Marketing Manager, Jennifer Swain, says that this new release, Lost In Space, is "a little bit different than the last in that it only contains 1 song. Our founder, Dr. Nicky Chavers, passed away this year, so as a tribute to him, the song included (entitled "Speak, Lord") serves as a tribute to his memory." She also said that future releases will return to the musical format of Elijah and the Famine.

If you pre-order the CDs now through October 20th, you'll get $5 off the full price. You purchase your copy on the Academy of Arts store.

If you've never heard Professor Boggs before, you can order Elijah and the Famine as well. It's the first production in this series and gives you an introduction to some of the characters featured in Lost in Space. You can also read a review of Elijah and the Famine from Audio Theatre Central.
