In 2018, author and writing guru, K.M. Weiland, unleashed her latest novel on the world: Wayfarer – a heroic gaslamp fantasy in which two newly superpowered British blokes duke it out in 1820s London. It's a bit of a ride - with flavors of Austen, Dickens, and Marvel rolled into one adventure-filled trip. And now, this uniquely epic novel is getting an audio supercharge.
Sargent Family Productions, a new audio production house, has partnered with award-winning author K.M. Weiland to bring her fantasy superhero novel to the audio medium. This production will be an audio book/drama hybrid similar to GraphicAudio dramas and Audible's Jane Austen adaptations. All of Weiland's tasty prose will be left intact - narrated by none other than Nato Jacobson (Jonathan Park, The Giant Killer) - while the characters are brought to color by a full cast and the story is underlined by Thomas Sargent's original score and sound design. With a projected run time of 12-13 hours, this audio production is slated for release on December 7th, 2021.

As a fan of Weiland's novels, I am excited to give this drama a listen. And, having read the book, I can report that it is a family-friendly story, though it may be a little intense for smaller ears. Think Oliver Twist meets The Avengers but minus any of the foul language and suggestive content that is unfortunately par for the course with many superhero movies.
