The audio series called Witnesses recently released it’s second program, A Tax Collector’s Invitation. Witnesses is a relatively new series which tells biblical stories from the first person perspective from folks who were present at pivotal events in the Bible.
Witnesses launched in 2014 with it's first installment which starred Adventures in Odyssey co-creator, Phil Lollar. While these programs are not (in my opinion) full-fledged audio dramas, they are still quite engaging and are very well produced. I would characterize them as more of a dramatized monologue than audio drama, but they do have music and sound effects to accompany the voices. They are produced and directed by Tracy Holland and she recently launched an on-going crowdfunding campaign to finance future episodes of the program.
